Community
You should be able to
ask someone.
Most of what you need in the first year is not clinical. It is knowing whether what is happening to you is normal, and hearing it from someone who has been there. The community we point people to is a GLP-1 forum and community, built for people on these medications.
Cozy Butter
The Collective points people to Cozy Butter, a public GLP-1 forum and community. Anyone can read it without signing in. Taking part is free and uses a Cozy Butter account, which is separate from this site. The GLP-1 Collective does not have accounts or logins of any kind.
What is in there:
- Support groups for people using GLP-1 medications
- Group health coaching sessions
- Fitness groups that meet regularly
- Guest speakers, including obesity specialists running live question and answer sessions
- A place to ask a health coach a real question
- Daily GLP-1 news and law updates
- Spaces for mindset, movement, nutrition and side effects
- People at every stage, including people years in

What the Collective has hosted
Before we started pointing people to Cozy Butter, the Collective ran its own support groups and live sessions, hosted by people who gave their time for free. We are not running them separately any more, because the same kinds of sessions happen there several times a week now and duplicating them served nobody. We are grateful to everyone who ran one.
A note on what community is for
Peer support is not medical care. People in a community can tell you what happened to them. They cannot tell you what will happen to you, and they cannot tell you what to take or how much.
Bring what you learn to your prescriber. That is the whole point of knowing what to ask.
