1. Who we are

This website is operated by the GLP-1 Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Iowa, EIN 33-2783506, at 3800 Business Highway 151, #113, Marion, IA 52302 (contact@glp1collective.org). “We”, “us” and “the Collective” mean that organization. “You” means you.

By using this site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. This is not medical advice

Everything on this site — every page, every article, every calculator — is general education and advocacy. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

The Collective is not a medical provider. We do not practise medicine, prescribe, dispense, or provide individual clinical guidance. Using this site does not create a clinician-patient relationship between you and the Collective or anyone associated with it.

Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here. Talk with your own prescriber before changing anything about your medication or treatment. In an emergency, call 911.

3. The tools

The calculators and guides under Resources run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is transmitted to us or stored on any server. They produce general estimates from population-level guidance and know nothing about your labs, your history or your circumstances. Treat every output as a starting point for a conversation with your prescriber, not an instruction.

4. Resources provided by other companies

Some resources on this site were built by, or are hosted by, for-profit companies founded by our Executive Director — specifically GLP-1 Studio LLC and Cozy Butter LLC. The Collective pays nothing for them and receives no payment, commission or referral fee for featuring them. Those companies are independent of the Collective, and their content and conduct are not official statements or positions of the Collective. Our Disclosures page sets this out in full and is part of these Terms.

5. Third-party links, programs and communities

This site links to external websites, assistance programs, communities and events we do not own or control. We list them because they may be useful. We do not vet, supervise, endorse, guarantee or insure them, we are not responsible for their content, availability, decisions or conduct, and inclusion is not an endorsement.

Assistance programs are administered by other organizations. Eligibility, funding and availability are set and changed by them. We cannot guarantee that you will be approved for anything.

Events and meetups are organised by community members and third parties, not by the Collective. We do not supervise or insure them.

6. Donations

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. The Collective is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; we do not provide tax advice, and what you can deduct is between you and your tax adviser.

This website does not solicit or accept donations and carries no donation mechanism. Where gifts are made to us by other means, they are voluntary and non-refundable.

We will provide a written acknowledgment for contributions where the law requires one. If you want a gift designated for a particular purpose, write to us and we will confirm in writing where we can.

7. Email updates

If you sign up for email, we send you updates and nothing else. You can unsubscribe from any email. The Collective's mailing list belongs to the Collective; we do not sell, rent or trade it, and we do not make it available to any company for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or to misrepresent yourself as us. Do not use our name, logo or content to imply we endorse a product, provider or treatment.

9. Our content

Content on this site is owned by the Collective or used with permission. Republished material — including the Evening Edition and Patient Lens — remains the property of its publisher and is used with permission. Headlines and summaries link to original reporting, which belongs to the publications named.

You may read, print and share our pages for personal, educational and non-commercial use with attribution. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, write to contact@glp1collective.org with enough detail to identify the work, the material you say infringes it, your contact details, and a statement of good-faith belief. We will look into it promptly.

11. No warranties

This site is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it accurate and current, but medicine, coverage and law all change, and we do not warrant that everything here is complete, accurate or up to date at the moment you read it. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Collective and its directors, officers, volunteers and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything in it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will post the new version with a new version number and effective date. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the change.
